Title: General Manager
Location: Afghanistan
Status: Full-time
Non-profit foundation has an immediate need for a General Manager. Position responsibilities include the following:
Organizing and managing all activities in the foundation including program projects, fundraising, communications and community services within the foundation.
Planning and executing fundraising activities.
Recruiting, training, and developing volunteer and staff in fundraising, program and foundation activities.
Promoting foundation through PR related activities and promotional efforts.
Managing and maintaining all foundation records.
Communicate with a wide variety of audiences, including board members, donors and outside advisors.
Oversee day-to-day operations and fulfillment of projects.
Manage project teams and coordinate project work for the rest of the team; serve as a mentor and coach to team members.
Find solutions and implement new ideas for foundation.
Conduct strategic planning as necessary and work with boards to implement strategic plans.
Collaborate with/participate in strategy, development and event management.
Speaking engagements and travel throughout the country of Afghanistan.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or an equivalent experience and education.
Masters Degree is a plus
Minimum 2-5 years experience in a non-for-profit or equivalent.
Sales/Marketing, volunteer management and development experience.
Experience in maintaining relationships with leaders in the community, community organizations and the philanthropic sector.
Working knowledge of non-profit management including: development, proposal writing, budget development and volunteer and staff management.
Compelling oral and written communication skills.
Able to manage projects with multiple over-lapping deadlines.
Needs to be an innovative leader as well as a team player.
Organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize.
Fluent in Dari/Pashtu is a PLUS!
