Throughout the war-torn times of the last two decades in Afghanistan, Ehsan Bayat, a US citizen, felt a tremendous calling to help the people of his homeland. Upon realizing the opportunity to bring connectivity to the people of Afghanistan through the deployment of mobile communication services, Ehsan Bayat, as President and CEO of Telephone Systems International, formed a joint venture partnership, Afghan Wireless Communication Company, with the Afghan Ministry of Communications.Ehsan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, but left his homeland for the United States in 1980. He was educated in Afghanistan and the United States, where he earned a degree in engineering. Ehsan's family background prepared him for his success in various businesses in New York and in his current role and commitment within the telecommunications industry of Afghanistan.
